Because I was cutting, pasting, gluing, writing, wrapping, snacking, cake-stealing, washing, chiding, wallowing, and working throughout the week, I’m going to go extra and squeeze in a post early in the morning before we go to SIUMC. I could not underline how busy we were; I had the least work because I can still steal time to sleep, but oh, not my folks. They drove, faced the traffic, rushed through deadlines, went home late, left home early, did not get much sleep this week and we’re glad to call it Somehow Off. It’s not ended, but the worst has passed, and much of the work was done. All we gotta do is to show up, because people showed up for us.
I am going to take a break from work this weekend leading to Christmas, but I’m back to writing with my old energy on the 26th to the 28th. Never has a week run so fast. Just yesterday, I aimed to finish work that has been given to me in a day because I don’t want to worry about hitting deadlines later on; this part of the year has gotten us all busy and cheerful and reckless and merry. Hustling for a deadline is not part of my to-do list.
Hey, WordPress, I’m still not happy with this editor. I don’t really know. Maybe it will grow on me. But, ugh. The way the boxes breaks the flow of the actual writing disappoints me. I hope I’m not the only one? Please resolve this
Anyways, I don’t think I’ve tweeted enough this week, but here’s my Week in Tweets dump:
The Philippines won a crown!
I am fully, fully aware of this.
You know you’re doing it for love when…

Backdrop, to be printed.
Giant star mask, on it.
Gold bar, covered
Myrrh flask, found.
I am a one-man theatrical producer, director and props guy and nope I am not complaining.
WednesdayI had a new “Pass” email! This one had comments on my work, but the key thing is there: I have a voice! Now, I just have to tell this story in the most proper way I can.

ThursdayI am not leaving my current MS, but I want to work on a poetry book too, so…
It's the last round. Time to throw your final punches. You've wrestled with this year and judges say it's unanimous. You didn't get knocked out. You may have lost, but you're walking away from the ring with your own two feet. That's pretty darn cool already. 👊— Caris Cruz (@hellocaris) December 20, 2018
I am currently at the Eliminate the Unnecessary part and it overwhelms me 😰— Caris Cruz (@hellocaris) December 21, 2018
Just so you know, I never tweet about work, except if it calls for compliments, and my clients would benefit from a positive namedrop. That means most of my tweets are, well, the ones happening when I switch into my own pace, a.k.a. my passion projects. I love that my copywriting work gets done through quiet, brilliant transformations; my clients have helped me become a better writer and a better human. But now, it’s time to temporarily close the hustling book, because Christmas is here. I hope you have a merry one. x
