I’m here! I’m back! I’ve also gotten a new haircut! I wrote a lot and worked a lot, which means less tweets, but I think it’s a good sign, for my brain at least, to be preoccupied with the more important things instead of scrolling down feeds. A lot of nice things happened to me lately, and most of them occurred after miraculous encounters that stretched my perception for a bit, telling me, “Nope, dear, things are not what you think they are.” Frankly, I’m grateful for the opportunities where life constantly changes my mind, because, so far, my hands are all akimbo about, um, everything else?
I have wonderful clients in my roster; so far, most of them are new, so we’re attuning ourselves to each other’s rhythm. But if there’s something I’m missing, it’s writing for the fashion niche a la Primpy, which, I just discovered, kept my contributions under my name (cue slow crying). I loved writing for them and it feels so good seeing my work under their website. If you want to peek, it’s here.
Speaking of haircut, I DID IT! Our subdivision is constantly flooded because of the recent rains and high tide, but there was a window on Wednesday and I decided to grab it. Kuya Joseph, a broody, serious-speaking stylist, took charge on snipping away my colored locks. Guy’s a mood, I tell you, but he taught me a few things, like, not asking for layered haircuts because my hair’s too thick, and keeping the length below the shoulders so it won’t fly away.

All assignments done. I finish everything on Friday because, as much as possible, I try not to work on weekends and focus on my WIPs. Right now, I’m onto my next project, TGLTY, and it’s something I’m crazy about. You know, after my H&S struggle, I never thought I’d fall in love with another story, but, here it is! Another weird encounter, another crazy pairing. Jace and Dani already had my heart from the first time I re-opened the concept, although I’m wondering if this is going to fit the YA category because it’s far too much NA. Crass words. Attitudes. Probably the thing we hardly talk about, too.

Some things about this week: 3 a.m. forced waketime due to a stressed brother, doing without knowing, the importance of trust, the gratitude in peace. And if I’m looking for interesting people to cover, there they are, in the humblest of all places, making good work. I’m looking forward to get pamamalengke into my zone (because, woman), because there’s gold there. Not money, but people. Also:
